"the high one" as called by the Koyukon people who are native to the area
tkimmins is correct. Northern Lights can see seen from Denali during the winter months.
I was there in late August. Cool weather, didn't see one mosquito. I thought that to be unusual. It was sunny all day and maybe that kept them at bay.
Noooo
It is absolutely beautiful. Lots of animals out as well.
Weather dependant in the fall it took us about 4 hours.
I don't recall any sand pits on our visit. Perhaps you would need to contact the National Park service for an "official" answer.
Driving is easiest, can check on availability
Yes,
A safe way to discover wildlife of Alaska
This is a long tour but we got a chance to see some amazing sites. We also saw 4 grizzly bears, 1 moose, 1 bald eagle, and 1 attic ground squirrel. Also the weather was amazing and we got to see a clear view of Denali. Great way to see the park.
We really enjoyed this tour. It was free with our stay, but it was very informative and we saw moose, caribou, Dall sheep, and even a grizzly bear. The driver was Aaron and was very friendly and helpful. There were two stops, one at a patrol cabin, one to hear about Abathascans from a local Abathascan.
Fantastic
Worth every minute.
Great bus tours, lots of good information
Excellent driver-guides on the ONLY road in Denali Park. Luckily the clouds dissipated for a short time so we were able to see the top of Denali mountain.
The Tundra Wilderness Tour was an excellent way to explore Denali. The driver was both knowledgeable and skillful (there are some hairpin turns and high cliff sides), always felt safe while riding with her. The tour departed on time, but the snacks provided are not enough for such a long trip, recommend bringing extra food. Please note that parking at the Bus Depot is limited, recommend arriving early if driving a car while in Denali.
Best 13 hours of my life! So much amazing wildlife! Highly recommend and do the full tour all 13 hours!!
We did the natural history tour. The guide was great and stops were very informative. We did see a couple of moose and snowshoe hare. The cabins were nice and information was good. It does go 26 miles out of 92 miles into park. So the tour is good... but we would have preferred the wilderness tour. The wilderness tour is closed a few days before this one... so we had no option but to do this tour.
Come I. Good weather if you want to see Mount Denali if not can also view from. Fairbanks at Pike Lodge on a clear sky day. Huge park to connect onself with nature and breathe breathe breatheBe still and let the silence speak to you
Nice tour with beautiful scenery and several wildlife sightings.
Wide variety of tours and shuttles offered into and out of the park. Their customer service is above par!
If you only have a limited time in the park then a narrated tour is the way to go. Our guide was a professional and just as excited as we were to see the wildlife. Many stops were made to look and take pictures of this beautiful and special park.
Terrible rv park
a must of the alaska
The driver and tour guide, Yogi, knew her stuff. She stopped for the wildlife and narrated the wonderful experience of living near the national park. A great and careful driver. Safety was a primary goal on this tour.
Great Day with de best busdriver ever. Thank you Manuel for this nice Trip!
